Exhibit Model Three
Published in conjunction with the exhibition, Exhibit Model Three, Vox, Montreal, Canada.
With a mixture of wit and mockery, Monk revisits and reinterprets artworks, often even ironically appropriating elements of his own work as he does in the Exhibit Model exhibitions. These ongoing series of shows are made up of images of some of Monk’s previous exhibitions. These exhibitions are explorations into the conditions, possibilities and limitations that are linked with making an exhibition as well as the conditions under which we view art today—via digital media, exhibition catalogues or moving swiftly through gallery nstallations.
