Soft Rocks
In 2025 Edition Taube turned 16. To celebrate this occasion and play on the fact that 16 is the legal drinking age for wine in Germany, Edition Taube released two limited-edition artists’ books with Alanna Lagamba and Martin Wörner, both outstanding winemakers of natural wine.
“Soft Rocks” compiles the 14 hillsides and their distinctive fragments of soils of Martin Wörner’s vineyard, continuing the visual narrative of stones and artefacts usually depicted on the labels of his brand Marto. The Pinot Noir itself transports the silky texture of the chalky soils its grapes were grown on, creating an earthy pinot with wooden as well as fruity notes.
Martin Wörner’s distinctive approach to wine making thrives on his appreciation of the past. Still cultivating vines of his grandfather’s generation and experimenting with the different soils of his vineyard, Martin reinterprets these remnants of the past with contemporary grapes and notes.
