tephra
tephra is a poetry work and interdisciplinary album by pianist and poet Daniel Arkadij Gerzenberg. Within ten poems he describes a process of healing, combining languages of love, science, psychology and mysticism. Translating poetic imagery into musical form, Daniel acts as reciter and pianist, composing his music simultaneously with the recitation of his poetry. The electroacoustic extensions by Kaan Bulak expand this immersive record, while Forma designed the accompanying art print. It contains all ten poems in their original formal setting with a manifold embossing, converting the soundscapes of tephra into an audiovisual experience.
