Klebebindung Workshop

Gemeinsam lernen wir, wie man eine Klebebindung mit einem farbigen Softcover herstellt. Du lernst die manuelle Leimtechnik sowie, wie das Softcover gefalzt und auf den Buchblock geklebt wird. Zum Schluss beschneiden wir die Kanten, und du nimmst dein eigenes Notizbuch mit nach Hause! Der Workshop eignet sich perfekt für alle, die eine einfache, aber vielseitig einsetzbare Bindetechnik erlernen möchten – oder bereits Ideen für zukünftige Buchprojekte haben.

Perfect Binding Workshop

Together we'll learn how to make a perfect binding with a colorful soft cover. You will learn the manual glueing technique and how to fold the soft cover and glue it onto the book. In the end we'll trim the edges and you'll take home a notebook! Perfect for everyone who is in need of learning a simple but useful binding technique and perhaps have future book projects in mind.

Cost: 45 Euro + 5 Euro (Mateiralkosten / Material fee: The material costs pay directly to Instructor.)

* Diese Veranstaltung findet ab 4 Teilnehmer:innen statt. (Max. 6 Teilnehmer:innen).

Instructor

Julia Fabricius (born 1993 in Gothenburg, Sweden) works as a book designer and illustrator and assists in a book bindery. She moved to Berlin from New York more than 7 years ago, where she was studying fine arts and art history at Brooklyn College. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Design in 2018, and after that, she studied book history at Lund University, Sweden, and did an internship at Buchbinderei Klünder, Berlin. In 2021 she started to give online classes in bookbinding and drawing for kids through the digital platform The Yellow Elefant.
