Scores for a Pencil
Scores for a Pencil is a small collection of scores written by 12 artists of various disciplines. It extends the notion of a score as a set of instructions, proposals, or prompts that can be interpreted and realised as a work of art, or another form of creative expression. Here, the scores gather attention to the potentials of one tool: the analogue pencil. The pocket-size book offers inspiration for both writing and drawing, and for anyone examining the territories in between.
Scores for a Pencil is developed and edited by Multipöly in succession of the Spring School of Publishing 2024 and its theme ‘Publishing and Movement’.
Writers: Maarit Bau Mustonen, Laura Cemin, Maija Hirvanen, Sanna Hirvonen, Roven Jõekäär, Minerva Juolahti, Arja Karhumaa, Kaisa Kukkonen, Hikari Nishida, Julia Syrzistie, Jule Timm, Haiyun Yu
