Color me
Nothing pleases the artist Claude Closky more than doing the opposite of what is expected and making up his own rules to the game rather than following the established ones. He is serious yet cheeky in his way of thinking and loves to turn situations on their heads and lead the world in a merry dance.
Depicting white objects has always been problematic for painters. Well not any more.... Claude has left them blank as silhouettes on a black background. The question is how to color them in? Should we dress up the moon, the rice, the bones or the snow in colorful disguises? My oh my! Maybe now's the time for a bit of extravagance.
