Join us for the launch of ADVICE FROM EVERYONE ABOUT EVERYTHING, published and printed by WIRWIR PUBLISHES. The launch will include performative readings through the evening in addition to a chance to share some of your own advice using various manual typewriters which will be set up in the space.
The title ADVICE FROM EVERYONE ABOUT EVERYTHING encapsulates the essence of this publication. Over the past year, we have collected nearly 400 pieces of advice about everything from everyone who visited our table at seven international art book and zine fairs in four countries. We invited visitors to use our manual typewriter to write down their advice. We have scanned these typewritten pages on our Riso machine and compiled them into this little book.
The fairs visited included PRINTERHOF (organised by Read Wedding in Berlin, Germany); Bergen Art Book Fair (Norway); Indiecon (Hamburg, Germany); Flyleaf Book and Zine Festival (Berlin, Germany); Off Register (Santa Barbara, California, USA); Miss Read (Berlin, Germany); and MiraLook Books (Madrid, Spain).
Printed by WIRWIR PUBLISHES, the publication is 416 pages in length with advice in 8 different languages, with the primary language being English. It is riso printed in Bright Red ink on METAPAPER Extrarough Pure Warm White with a Riso printed linen hinge tape, in a limited and hand-numbered edition of 100 copies.
