Laure Catugier
Photocollage taken from the book of the same name published with einBuch.haus in 2025. A Never-Ending Stone refers to François Coignet, one of the first inventors of concrete in France, who described this new material as an endless stone in the 1860s. Indeed, he quickly recognized its potential for expansion, which would resonate with modernity due to the massive use of concrete throughout the 20th century. This catalog presents collages of fragmentary images collected during my numerous travels and residencies all over the world over the past fifteen years.
