Eleven Second Painting
An artist’s book by British artist Jonathan Monk, published on the occasion of his exhibition at SKAC (SKWAT KAMEARI ART CENTRE), held from November to December 2025.
This publication translates the eponymous edition work into book form, realised as a concertina volume with two cover variations. In COVER B, the backs of the artwork are intentionally reproduced on the front cover; once opened, the principal surfaces of the ten works unfold across the pages. As the book is printed on both sides, removing the transparent cover and flipping the volume allows the reader to view the COVER A version as well.
The edition on which this book is based belongs to Monk’s ongoing series of spray paintings and is executed using eleven spray-paint colours—WHITE, ANTIQUE WHITE, PINK, LEMON YELLOW, LIGHT GREEN, DARK GREEN, PURPLE, RED, YELLOW, BLACK, and SILVER.
