Ten Relationships
Ten Relationships (1991) explicitly signals as much, titling the envelope that encloses ten cards inscribed “Micah Lexier.” Each one was created by reproducing fragments of Lexier’s own collected mail and ephemera. The artist is the recipient in these cases, not the issuer, and the form of his written name is variant, not constant.
