Paper Weight
Paper Weight sculptures pay tribute to the material qualities and sizes of paper. Each work is made from porcelain paper clay sheets in DIN sizes (A5 and A4) which are laid into stacks before being fired. Shrinking during firing, in which the paper pulp is burnt away, the object describes something that it no longer contains, reflecting on the complicated presence and absence of paper.
