Invitation Drawings

In the fall of 2024 Micah Lexier had an exhibition at einBuch.haus for which he made an invitation that took the form of five bound pads of paper. Each pad of paper featured a different element from the exhibition and viewers were invited to remove the top sheet to take away with them. The gallery owner’s daughter, Noelle, often accompanied her mother to the gallery, and at one point started drawing on top of these invitations. Not only are the drawings wonderful, but they connect to the long and rich history of artists drawing on hotel stationery, restaurant receipts and menus.
